Here Comes the Bride

I've enjoyed working on this wedding album...  a gift to my cousin and her new husband :)  I thought I'd show ya a few pages I've been working on!

The page shown above was made using misc. papers from freebies I've collected over the course of time (and never named them by designer so they are unknown!  Now I know better!)

These pages were made using Bella Gypsy's "Sundress" papers.  I love Bella Gypsy! The word art on all 3 of these pages is from "Our Wedding Day" a word art kit I found at Gotta Pixel.

Thank you Kerri Powell for featuring me on your blog!  And for your kind words :)  I am lovin' the orange clothesline and the opportunity to share my passion with others! 

It's crazy how the summer is moving so fast.  And how the days go by like minutes sometimes!  Before I know it, it's Wednesday.  July always feels this way with birthdays and all, it's a fun month, and in this year's case, a HOT one!  But I can't complain, we have a/c and it is, afterall SUMMER!

I hope you are doing well!  Be sure to keep cool on this toasty day!

Looking Back at Mikie...

Here are Mikie's birthday pages from when he turned 4!  These pages were made during my first year of digital scrapbooking.  I'm not sure what kit the paper is from (a freebie from somewhere) but the embellishments are from Creative Memories.  We camped during his birthday weekend that year, what fun memories to relive! 

And Mikie at 5 years old!  I love this kit, it's All Boy from Ahhh Scrap

And 6 years old!  Another memorable year in that we were in Chicago for my sister's wedding.  Mikie opened his gifts in our hotel room :)  Since we couldn't transport his gift (a new bike) we gave him pictures in his card! 

These pages are made using kit : Celebrate Him from Elemental Scraps.  Unfortunately ES closed their business.  Isn't this a cute kit though!?!  My first set of QuickPages...

And now today... he's SEVEN!  Wow, another wonderful year with a precious gift of a boy.  Happy Birthday Mikie!

I had fun with these pages yesterday while working on my cousin's wedding album!  The layout was inspired by a photo I saw in a Scrapbooks etc magazine.  Gotta love the inspiration! 

Christmas in July!

The other day I got a few minutes to sit with some dear friends and scrapbook.  But as you well know, scrappin' with the kids running around doesn't prove overly relaxing or productive!  I am looking at going back to December and getting 2010 buttoned up.  Seems I have a lot of catching up to do on my own albums!  And with summer and all of our family members birthdays in June/July/August, it's gonna take some time to get there!  Know the feeling!?! 

So us gals are looking to maybe join a group of ladies that get together and scrapbook once a month.  Sounds like fun, doesn't it!? 

Good Stuff

I thought I'd tell you a little more about our family :)

I don't think I have officially introduced my kids to you, they are amazing gifts from the Lord and I'm so proud of each one of them. 

Jack is our oldest, he's 8 and an "old man" by nature.  Although he tends to be a tad more serious, he has the best "belly laugh" you've ever heard!  He's smart and sensitive and loves baseball and football.  Oh and video games too...  Star Wars and Madden football are among his faves.  He has become quite the reader and writer in the past year which is awesome to watch happen.  Although chores aren't his favorite of things to do, he keeps his bedroom pretty darn clean.  And I love that he's the kinda kid that will sit on your lap and even still hold your hand out in public.  What a good boy you are Jack.

Then there is Mikie.  He came just 12 months & 17 days after Jack was born... talk about a surprise! Mikie has been a treat ever since that day he came into this world 6 (almost 7) years ago.  I was just teasing him today about how he didn't open his lil' eyeballs for 2 days after he was born.  Mikie is a HAM who can be crazy silly or just joins into any conversation.  He likes to talk to people and is a very helpful boy with a love for building/putting things together.  Give him some Legos and 2 hours alone in his room and he is one happy camper.  

And last by certainly not least is Miss Molly.  Molly is 3.  She's a girl through and through although she does love to dig in the dirt.  Just the way I like it!  She loves pink and baby dolls and playing mommy and all that comes with being a girl.  She is a compassionate child who gives wonderful tight hugs around the neck (when in the mood, HA!).  She cried as we left for Granny's house this evening cause she couldn't bring the car that went with the doll she had.  But I gotta keep a limit on the toy distribution, you know?  I put the little doll in the chair in the sitting position on the front porch and told Molly the doll will wait for her to get home.  That made her little world end!  She couldn't bear the thought of leaving that doll there all alone.  That's Molly...

So there is a little glimpse into who our kids are!  You will see many a digital scrapbook page with them cause they are my reason for doing what I do!  I started traditional scrapbooking when Jack was 3 months old and switched to digital 3 years ago.  Isn't it awesome to feel like you've found something you LOVE to do and it's a blessing to others who look at it and have memories they share!?  That's what I call GOOD STUFF...

My New Adventure
